Sunset Pines

Watercolour, Gouache and Pen & Ink on Watercolour paper.

Created during the confinement of lockdown in 2020, based on photographs and remembered experience of evening sunlight tingeing pine tree trunks with orange light, and leaving the shadows purple. The forest floor is populated by shrubs of many greens and textures. Image measure 27 x 27 cm; presented in a white mount, overall measurement, 41 x 41 cm.
